Madhya Pradesh’s Municipal Corporation Floats Tender for EV Charging Stations Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Issues RFS for Setting up 22 EV Charging Stations

The Satna Municipal Corporation (SMC) in Madhya Pradesh has invited bids for the installation of ten electric vehicles (EV) charging stations at various places within the city.

The awarded Bidder shall be responsible for the supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and maintaining of the Electrical Vehicle Charging Station. The bidder will also be responsible for providing operations & maintenance services for 20 years from the contract’s signing date.

The deadline for proposal submissions is September 20, 2022. The day of the bid opening is September 22. Awarded bidder will be required to provide an earnest money deposit of Rs. 100,000/-. A security deposit that is equal to the license price for six months must be paid by the licensee.

According to the terms and circumstances outlined in the agreement, the license fee offered by the winning bidder and approved by SMC will increase by 7% yearly on a compounding basis, or at the start of each anniversary of the agreement period. The bidder that offers the highest licensing fee will be chosen. 

Any area in the city that is viable will have the space provided by SMC for the installation of charging stations. After the letter of acceptance of the notice of award, the contract will be for 20 years with a five-year lock-in period. When SMC (The Satna Municipal Corporation) calls for new bids after 20 years, the operator who has already been working with SMC will be given first dibs.

The bidders must have finished at least one similar-natured EV project within the previous five years as of the last day of the month before the one for which bids are being requested. 

During the previous three financial years, bidders should have had an average yearly turnover of at least Rs. 50 lakh. Additionally, bidders’ net worth should have been at least 500,000 over the last financial year.
