DTL Floats Tender for EV Charging & Battery Swapping Stations in Delhi

Delhi Transco Limited has floated a tender for setting up EV charging & battery swapping stations at various Locations under Package – A to J across the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi.

The Bidders shall be responsible for supply, erection, testing, commissioning, and maintaining at his own cost the Electrical Vehicle Charging Station and all other works required for the execution and functioning of the Electrical Vehicle Charging Station unless otherwise
specifically provided for in the contract documents.

Interested bidders can submit their bids by March 17, 2021. Bidders (non-startups) are expected to submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs 3 lakhs as a Bid Security. While Startups need to submit an EMD of INR 1.5 lakhs only. The startups must submit a valid certificate of recognition issued by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.

If the bidder intends to participate in multiple packages, then the EMD fee for each package shall be submitted separately or composite for the packages and accordingly mention the name of the packages.

The offer will only be considered if the invited bidder submits the tender manually strictly in Two-Part Bid system {Techno-commercial (First stage of bid) & Price (Second stage of Bid)} as described in “submission of tenders”.

Additionally, the bidders will have to submit a Tender fee of INR 10,000 plus 18 percent GST, which shall be payable by the bidder, irrespective of the number of packages in which the bidder intends to participate.

The tender includes Details of Packages (Sites) scheduled locations, where all EV charging points and swapping stations are to be installed.

Recently on the 5th of this month, Delhi power minister Sateynder Jain released a tender to set up 500 electric vehicles (EV) charging points at 100 different locations.

In a press conference, minister Jain said, “Delhi government has floated nation’s biggest tender for EV (electric vehicle) charging today, with provision for 500 charging points at 100 locations in Delhi so that EVs can be charged outside homes too.”
