Fast-Developing Green Hydrogen Industries In The World

The industry has seen an increase in interest from investors as a result of the possibility of West Asian and North African nations becoming major providers of green hydrogen. The area is expected to be the leading provider of green hydrogen globally, accounting for the majority of export-oriented low-carbon hydrogen projects, according to an internal assessment by Abu Dhabi’s Clean Energy Business Council (CEBC).

The UAE currently holds the bulk of the green and blue hydrogen energy projects, with a stake of roughly 29%. Studies show that Egypt and Morocco will follow, with a share of each 19.35%.

The Rising Interest of Domestic Industry In Green Hydrogen

ReNew Power is one of many domestic renewable energy companies aiming to establish green hydrogen plants in the area.

In July 2022, ReNew and the Egyptian government’s sovereign fund signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a green hydrogen production facility at the Suez Canal Economic Zone. To construct a green ammonia plant in Oman, ACME Group also inked a land deal in June.

According to Gupta, Jakson Group intends to establish green hydrogen projects in India and is in contact with several states. We are speaking with certain state administrations as well as some in the MENA region from abroad.

Additionally, the company is considering collaborations and acquisitions in other “futuristic energy “industries like batteries, fuel cells, and electrolyzers. We’re looking at long-term collaborations, either through acquisitions or strategic alliances in which both companies will invest financially “Added Gupta.

The company operates in the fields of solar power projects, distributed energy, and solar module manufacturing. Systems for storing energy in batteries are a part of distributed energy.
