MoEVing Plans to Deploy 5,000 More EVs This Year

Gurugram based electric mobility technology platform MoEVing will be expanding its electric vehicle operations to Tier 2 cities now. MoEVing has announced that it will be deploying 5000 electric vehicles this year in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu.

MoEVing said in its official statement that it has already deployed more than 1,000 electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers in 14 cities of 11 states in India. Now MoEVing has planned to take the fleet operations to 10,000 electric vehicles. The company says that the expansion in fleet will also be supported by 100 charging hubs built in 30 cities by next year.

Vikash Mishra, CEO & Co-founder, MoEVing, said, “We have 20+ customers across top e-commerce, e-grocery, FMCG, logistics and D2C companies who are committed to accelerated electrification not just in Tier 1 cities but Tier 2 cities and beyond. Expansion into any new city is only possible with the right charging infrastructure in place as well as the service and maintenance ecosystem by OEMs. MoEVing is building the entire EV ecosystem in partnership with multiple stakeholders in these new cities, including Piaggio, Altigreen, Log9 and Omega Seiki. We believe the last-mile delivery space will be fully electrified by 2025.”

MoEVing also stated that the current pulse of the delivery industry is being driven by quick commerce which is growing even faster in Tier-2/3 cities nationally.

Vikash Mishra added, “This decade’s biggest mobility-energy disruption is going to be led by commercial vehicle electrification, to start last mile intra-city delivery vehicles.”

MoEVing has operations in Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Coimbatore and Ludhiana and now MoEVing will enter Agra, Meerut, Surat and Jalandhar.

In March, MoEVing had launched India’s first multi-modal electric vehicles’ charging hub in Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru. It’s a large facility spread over 12,000 square feet. The MoEVing charging hub features high volume electric vehicle charging points for both fast and slow charging. EV drivers can also avail the facilities of battery swapping, vehicle maintenance and EV experience & learning center.

Apart from manufacturing electric vehicles for the commercial delivery sector, MoEVing also delves in EV charging services, fin-tech solutions and EV lifecycle management solutions. In December, 2021, MoEVing raised $5 million in a quest to expand both electric vehicles deployment and charging infrastructure.
