The official statement held that consumers looking to swap their nearly drained batteries can search for the nearest swapping location on the Bounce App. Apart from strengthening the retail business, the smart framework will cater to the interoperable partners that will ease mobility across geographies. Electric two wheelers, three wheelers and OEMs will be the additional beneficiaries. The statement read that two wheelers and three wheelers that are converted to EV from ICE would benefit from the new Bounce Infinity battery swapping solution.

The Infinity swapping stations will be having charged and ready-to-go batteries which will help the clients to easily swap their own empty batteries within a few minutes eliminating long waits.

Vivekananda Hallakere, CEO, Bounce Infinity, said, “This partnership reiterates our commitment towards a cleaner and pollution-free country by making our network accessible to consumers at the same scale and convenience as refuelling.”

PS Ravi, Executive Director In-Charge (Retail), BPCL, said, “India’s personal mobility is primarily driven by two-wheelers who form the largest part of our valued customer base and the two-wheeler segment has been the early adopters of electric two wheelers.”

Ravi added that interoperability feature by Bounce Infinity technology will help the BPCL to serve a larger spread of EV customers and will help in the growth of this important battery swapping segment in the EV space in the country. He also said that BPCL said that it has EV charging roadmap where it will set up fast charging corridors across major highways and also the economic centres. The entire network will have 7,000 fast charging stations in the coming next 2-3 years.

The official statement says that the Infinity Swapping Network transmits data apart from storing energy. Both battery and station have a number of sensors and IOT that communicate with the external world with utmost security.
