MG4 Electric Receives a Five-Star Safety Rating from Euro NCAP

The European subsidiary of Chinese automotive manufacturer, MG Motor Europe, the new all-electric MG4 hatchback has received the highest possible five-star Euro NCAP (The European New Car Assessment Programme) safety rating. The European New Car Assessment Programme was established in 1996 and is a voluntary European initiative for evaluating the safety of new cars.

It is situated in Leuven, Belgium. Initially developed by the Transport Research Laboratory for the UK Department of Transport, it eventually received support from other European nations as well as the European Union.

All current MG4 specifications, including the Standard, Comfort, and Luxury model trims, received a five-star rating from Euro NCAP as a result of the thorough testing procedure, which evaluates the safety of both adult and child occupants, vulnerable road users, and vehicle safety assist features.

A thorough set of safety tools called MG Pilot is installed in every MG4 to provide an extra measure of security. Active Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, and Driver Attention Alert are among the driver assistance features that come standard on all models.

An easy-to-use set of safety measures that safeguard passengers and other road users also includes intelligent high beam assist and speed limit assist.

The Euro NCAP rating also represents the first test result for MG’s Modular Scalable Platform (MSP), a new, adaptable vehicle architecture that will serve as the foundation for the company’s upcoming line of vehicles in Europe.

The European New Car Assessment Programme has served as the industry standard for new cars sold in Europe since 1997, allowing customers to make well-informed decisions when selecting their next car. Euro NCAP conducts thorough, impartial, and independent safety evaluations that now take standard assist systems and passive safety into account.

Earlier, The Indian subsidiary of MG Motor reported retail sales of 4367 units in October 2022, an increase of 53% from the corresponding month of the previous year (October 2021). (Highest-Ever Production) This expansion was the result of the company producing 5008 units overall, including 1000 of its electric car (MG ZS EV), which was also a record-high for MG India.
