MG Motor India Reports Retail Sales of 4079 Units in November 2022

The Indian subsidiary of Chinese automotive manufacturer, MG Motor India, reported 4079 retail sales in November 2022. The automaker’s emphasis on the customer experience is evident in its top spot in both the Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) Study and the J.D. Power-NielsenIQ 2022 India Customer Service Index (CSI) Study for the second year in a row.

The cutting-edge manufacturing facility for MG Motor India at Halol, Gujarat, has a production capacity of 1,25,000 vehicles annually and employs close to 2,500 people. Driven by its goal of CASE (Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electric) mobility, the carmaker has improved all-around ‘experiences’ within the automotive industry today, it says.

The MG Hector, India’s first Internet SUV, the MG ZS EV, India’s first Pure Electric Internet SUV, the MG Gloster, India’s first Autonomous (Level 1) Premium SUV, and the MG Astor, India’s first SUV with Personal AI Assistant and Autonomous (Level 2) technology are a few firsts that MG has introduced in India.

In October 2022, MG Motor India reported retail sales of 4367, an increase of 53% from the corresponding month of the previous year (October 2021). (Highest-Ever Production) This expansion was the result of the company producing 5008 units overall, including 1000 of its electric car (MG ZS EV), which was also a record-high for MG India.

Additionally, MG Motors India announced its extended partnership with IIT Delhi. The partnership facilitated the research at the Centre for Automotive Research and Tribology (CART) for ground-breaking research in the field of electric and autonomous vehicles.
