The fleet of Switch IeV3 electric vehicles is set to replace conventional diesel garbage tippers, helping reduce carbon emissions, lower noise pollution, and enhance the efficiency of waste collection in the city.

The vehicles were formally handed over in a ceremony attended by Kailash Vijayvargiya, Minister of Urban Development and Housing, and Pushyamitra Bhargav, Mayor of Indore.

“These specially designed electric garbage tippers will significantly cut down pollution levels and improve operational efficiency in urban sanitation,” Bhargav said.

The Switch IeV3 is equipped to manage both wet and dry waste, and is integrated with SWITCH iON, the company’s proprietary connected vehicle platform. The system enables real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and route optimisation, the company said.

“Indore has consistently set an example by being ranked the cleanest city in India,” said Mahesh Babu, CEO of Switch Mobility. “We are proud to contribute to the city’s sustainability journey with our intelligent, zero-emission mobility solutions.”

The deployment is part of Indore’s broader clean mobility roadmap and reflects the municipal corporation’s ongoing efforts to set a new benchmark in sustainable urban living.
