GoodWe To Produce One million Units Per Year Post Expansion

PV Inverter manufacturer GoodWe has announced a major manufacturing  expansion to up to one million units per year in phase II of its Guangde manufacturing facility in China. The firm, ranked as the leading storage inverter firm in the world by Wood Mackenzie, has a strong presence across categories in solar.

The company hosted the opening ceremony for phase II of the Guangde manufacturing base on 22 May 2021. GoodWe CEO & founder Daniel Huang, and the Board of Directors and Shareholders laid the foundation stone to mark the beginning of the project.

Since GoodWe’s stock listing in 2020, investor capital has propelled the company into a new stage of rapid development. Having  delivered more than two million solar inverters with an installed capacity of 23GW across over 100 countries and regions, GoodWe is looking to replicate its success in the residential segment across  utility, C&I, and energy storage too in India too.

Guangde’s strategic location will facilitate easy access to the massive market opportunity in the Yangtze River Delta economic area. Over 52 million USD were invested in the construction of a 68,000-meter square production plant, which will allow GoodWe to reach 25GW production capacity and meet growing demand. The project is expected to be completed in June 2022, while the production line will officially go into operation in Q3 2022.

India, as one of the most important markets to GoodWe, has seen many prestigious projects built and planned using Goodwe Inverters. Projects like Rajikok-15MW, Cochin Airport-10MW, MRPL-6MW, Bosch-4MW, Siemens-2MW, etc. GoodWe products have been deployed on the premises of companies like Tata Power, Sterling & Wilson, Fourth Partner, Renew, Amplus, Adani, Harsha Abakus, Atria, etc.

Speaking on the development, GoodWe’s CEO Daniel Huang stated, “With phase II of our Guangde manufacturing base, the company’s production capacity, industrial image, and influence will improve quickly. GoodWe will be able to meet the increasing global demand for PV products and our market is set to increase quickly.”

“GoodWe is determined to become the main driving force in the global energy transition and create a sustainable future for the earth, mankind, and future generations,” Daniel added.

The company has a balanced team structure here that emphasises not just getting orders but with more than 20 people in service across India, a commitment to service quality too. There are service warehouses, and the firm maintains spares for a range of models supplied, according to their spokesperson. .

Recently in March this year, GoodWe signed a 100MW distribution agreement with GS Global, a Fortune 500 company. The outcome of this agreement has been the inclusion of the latest HT series (100-225kW) in the GS Global catalog, suitable for solar commercial and utility projects.
