Previous BESS Tender: A Brief Comparison

Based on the tender results, Bihar’s BESS tender was awarded at a higher tariff than NHPC’s 500 MW/1,000 MWh BESS tender in Andhra Pradesh (Tranche II), where projects were awarded to ACME Solar and Patel Infrastructure. ACME Solar secured a 225 MW/450 MWh system near the Ghani substation at ₹2.22 lakh/MW/month, and a 50 MW/100 MWh system near the Kuppam substation at ₹2.10 lakh/MW/month. Patel Infrastructure was awarded a 225 MW/450 MWh project at ₹2.08 lakh/MW/month near the Jammalamadugu substation. However, Bihar’s latest BESS tender tariff matches that of the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), which awarded JSW Energy a 125 MW/500 MWh standalone BESS project at ₹4.41 lakh/MW/month.
