Okaya Completes Installation of Over 500 EV Chargers, has Orders for 10,000 More

Okaya Power has completed the installation of over 500 EV chargers and has over 10,000 charger installation orders with it as well.

Energy storage solutions provider Okaya Power has announced that it has completed the installation of over 500 EV chargers for electric vehicles across the country. Besides this, the company has revealed that it has over 10,000 chargers installation orders with it as well.

“As one of the largest suppliers of EV charging stations in India, we are fully committed to accelerating the transition to electrical vehicles with our ongoing efforts. Our orders are growing at a commendable pace and we look forward to capturing an even larger share of the growing market demand,” said Anshul Gupta, Director, Okaya Power.

The company, in the release, also said that its efforts are in sync with the government’s endeavour to encourage the use of electrical vehicles in both personal and commercial segments. It claimed that it is fully dedicated to realise the vision of making India a 100 percent EV country. The firm further said that it aims to support the government in its mission of shifting 40 percent of the country’s energy fleet to electric mode by 2030.

Okaya EV chargers come packed with features such as fast charging time and high energy density leading to low weight, thereby operating for more kilometres between consecutive charges, said the release.

A flagship of the Okaya Group, the company’s e-mobility ecosystem portfolio includes AC and DC fast chargers for passenger cars and commercial vehicles, besides high voltage EV chargers, cloud-based central management systems, on-board chargers, among others. In addition, it also offers integrated solutions based on various platforms.

In August, the firm had formed a strategic partnership with BluSmart Electric Mobility, one of India’s largest fleet operators of electric four-wheeler vehicles with the aim to provide a well-laid out electric vehicle (EV) charging stations infrastructure for their fleet operations.

“Our partnership with BluSmart Electric Mobility is the true testament of our ability to provide world-class EV charging infrastructure solutions and we are committed to taking this association to greater heights. This partnership undeniably represents a major milestone and a strong step towards providing a pollution-free green mode of transportation with an unwavering commitment to safety, reliability, and efficiency,” Gupta had said at the time.
