NoBroker, ElectricPe to Install 1 Lakh EV Charging Stations This Year

NoBroker has partnered with ElectricPe to install 100,000 electric charging points this year in residential communities across India. The duo will deploy the NoBrokerHood App, through which electric vehicle owners can pay their bills on the spot and also have the option of getting the payable amount added to their electricity bills.

NoBroker is a Bangalore based real estate online search platform that connects flats and property owners with buyers and tenants, eliminating brokers from the system. It recently turned unicorn after raising $210 million from a clutch of investors in end of 2021.

On the other hand, ElectricPe is a software for electric vehicles’ charging and demand generation where those driving an EV could locate charging stations. The company calls the network highly secured and one can also track the real-time usage of the charging stations.

After the collaboration with NoBroker, ElectricPe will have access to NobrokerHood locations across the country.

The two companies want to set up charging stations in what they call ‘NoBroker Residential Welfare Societies’ which are residential societies using the NoBrokerHood Society App. These residential societies will include apartments, gated communities, and standalone buildings. The players say that this will make things convenient for EV owners as they could access charging in their immediate vicinity.

Saurabh Garg, Co-Founder & CBO, NoBroker, said, “Electric vehicles will soon be the new normal given the environmental concerns and government push. However, the lack of availability of charging points has been a major hurdle for vehicle owners to take the leap. We are excited to partner with ElectricPe to provide our customers with easy access to charging points. Through this partnership, ElectricPe charging points will be provided to residents and visitors, giving a boost to clean, affordable, and smart electric mobility. All this at the click of a button!”

The company says that within the ElectricPe App, residents could check EV charging station’s availability options and book slots for charging their vehicles. A society or apartment can also request the company to set up a charging station in their parking lots provided they have RWA’s approval.

“Through strong partnerships like this, we hope to bridge the infrastructure gap currently prevalent in the country by taking charging infrastructure to the doorsteps of consumers,” said Avinash Sharma, Co-Founder & CEO, ElectricPe.
