KREDA Issues Tender for Solar Battery Banks in Ladakh

KREDA Issues Tender for Solar Battery Banks in Ladakh

Kargil Renewable Energy Development Agency (KREDA) has floated a tender for supply, Installation and commissioning of solar tubular gel battery banks of various capacities at various locations across the Kargil District in the union territory of Ladakh.

A high-performance tubular gel battery with a polypropylene copolymer container should be used. A pressure regulation valve should be included with the battery, and it should be explosion-proof. It should be possible to open the valve unit only with the right tool. 

The last date for submitting the online bid is August 27, 2022, till 2:00 pm. Bids will be opened on the same day at 4:00 pm.

The company should be an Indian company that manufactures solar batteries or solar engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm that is a licensed dealer of the original Indian manufacturer of solar batteries.

The manufacturer of solar batteries must be certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 for the design, development, manufacture, and sale of Batteries. In the case of a solar EPC company, the organisation should have ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 for quality management systems for the supply, installation and commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of renewable energy systems, as well as a dealership certificate from the manufacturer of solar batteries with these certifications for the design, development, manufacture, and sale of solar batteries.

Interested bidders will be required to provide an earnest money deposit equal to 2% of the project cost to participate in the bidding process. Within 30 days of the purchase order date, the successful bidder will need to provide a security deposit equal to 3% of the contract’s value.

The bidders must have had an annual turnover of at least Rs. 1.88 crore during the previous three financial years. The successful bidder will ensure the maintenance of the battery bank for a period of five years from the date of commissioning and installation.  a complete warranty would cover the battery bank.
