ETO Motors to Set Up Over 2500 EV Charging Stations in Delhi-NCR

E-mobility solutions provider ETO Motors has joined forces with BSES and Tata Power DDL to set up around 2,000-3,000 EV charging stations in the next 2-3 years.

Based in Hyderabad, the company is an electric vehicle manufacturer, fleet operator and a charging infrastructure provider. ETO Motors is currently operational in Hyderabad, Delhi, Bangalore, Noida, Nagpur, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam, serving both the passenger and cargo last mile needs.

ETO Motors has already set up over 30 MWs of EV charging infrastructure across the country and the company plans to set up over 10,000 EV charging stations in the region in the next five years. “As an empaneled vendor of the three DISCOMs’, ETO Motors will set up Electric Vehicle Chargers at Semi-Public sites like Malls, Offices, Colleges and along with privately owned spaces such as residential and apartment complexes,” states the firm.

“ETO Motors is delighted to contribute towards the National Capital’s move towards electric mobility, by being one of the empaneled players in this initiative by BSES and Tata Power DDL, which would be pivotal in ushering in the EV ecosystem,” said N. K. Rawal, Managing Director & CEO of ETO Motors.

The company states that its target is the large-scale deployment of electric fleet for cleaner cities to provide clean, safe, and noise-free shared public transportation for last mile and intracity operation in passenger segment and middle mile & last mile logistics service in cargo segment.

Last month, ETO deployed over 50 e-rickshaws at Kevadia in Gujarat, in partnership with The Statue of Unity Area Development and Tourism Governance Authority (SOUADTGA). The company is further considering deploying over 350 EVs in the next four to six months in a bid to make Kevadia an electric vehicle-only city.

The entire fleet of the 50 TriLux e-rickshaws is being operated by women drivers, as part of the company’s aim to run environment-friendly vehicles and provide women with employment opportunities, the company revealed.
