How do you see the business potential of Solax Power in India?

Vipin Bhardwaj: India’s renewable energy sector is on a significant growth trajectory, driven by the government’s ambitious targets and increasing awareness about sustainability. The business potential for Solax Power in India is immense. With the country aiming to achieve 450 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030, there is a substantial market for advanced solar solutions. Solax Power, with its innovative and efficient solar technologies, is well-positioned to capitalize on this burgeoning demand. The increasing adoption of solar energy in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors presents numerous opportunities for us to expand our footprint and contribute to India’s clean energy goals.

Do you see PM Surya Ghar as a big opportunity for your firm and how you are preparing to make inroads in this scheme?

Vipin Bhardwaj: Yes, the PM Surya Ghar scheme is a significant opportunity for Solax Power. This initiative, aimed to solarize 1 crore households with rooftop solar installations, aligns perfectly with our mission to provide high-quality solar solutions. We are actively preparing to make inroads in this scheme by enhancing our product offerings to meet the specific requirements of the Indian Market. Our strategy includes increasing local partnerships, providing extensive training to our installation partners, and launching awareness campaigns to educate consumers about the benefits of solar energy. By leveraging our technological expertise and robust distribution network, we are confident in our ability to play a pivotal role in the success of the PM Surya Ghar scheme.

Who is your main target end consumer and main focus area-residential, C&I or utility scale?

Vipin Bhardwaj: Our main target end consumers are spread across the residential, commercial and industrial (C&I), and utility-scale sectors. However, our primary focus currently lies in the residential and C&I segments. These areas have shown significant growth potential due to the increasing adoption of rooftop solar solutions and the need for reliable and cost-effective energy alternatives for businesses. We are dedicated to providing tailored solutions that cater to the specific energy needs of these segments, ensuring high efficiency, reliability, and affordability.

How has been your journey in India till now?

Vipin Bhardwaj: Our journey in India has been both challenging and rewarding. Since entering the Indian market, Solax Power has made significant strides in building a strong presence. We have successfully established a robust distribution network and forged strategic partnerships with local stakeholders. In terms of capacity and sales, we have seen a consistent upward trend, with our products being increasingly adopted across various sectors. Our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction has enabled us to achieve notable market penetration and brand recognition. We continue to focus on scaling our operations and expanding our market share in India.

What are your future plans for India?

Vipin Bhardwaj: Our future plans for India include expanding our product portfolio to introduce more advanced and efficient solar solutions tailored to the Indian market. We aim to increase our market penetration by strengthening our distribution channels and enhancing customer service. Additionally, we plan to invest in R&D and Local Service Setup to innovate solutions and service that address the unique challenges of the Indian solar market. We are also exploring opportunities to collaborate with government initiatives and private sector projects to drive the adoption of renewable energy. Our long-term vision is to become a leading player in India’s solar industry, contributing significantly to the country’s sustainable energy future.

Our strategy includes building strong relationships with local partners, expanding our distribution network, and providing extensive training and support to our dealers and installers. We also emphasize customer education and engagement to create awareness about our unique offerings. By staying agile and responsive to market needs, we aim to carve out a significant market share and maintain Solax Power as a trusted brand in India.

Any decision on manufacturing plants in India as of now or capacity additions?

Vipin Bhardwaj: We are actively exploring the possibility of establishing a manufacturing plant in India. This move would not only help us meet the growing demand for our products more efficiently but also align with the government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative. Local manufacturing would enable us to reduce costs, improve supply chain dynamics, and offer competitive pricing to our customers. We are currently conducting feasibility studies and assessing potential locations for the plant. In parallel, we are also planning capacity additions to our existing operations to ensure we can meet the increasing market demand and continue to deliver high-quality products.
