RACEnergy, Hala Mobility Join Hands For Deployment Of Battery Swapping Technology

Hyderabad-based battery swapping technology player RACEnergy has collaborated with multi-modal ride-sharing platform Hala Mobility for the deployment of battery swapping technology for 2,000 electric two-wheelers. The partnership is aimed at facilitating smooth run of electric mobility.

The battery swapping technology of RACEnergy will be integrated with electric scooters. These EVs will be employed for delivery services in different parts of the country.

The players hold that the first phase of the rollout of electric two wheelers will begin by July this year.

Hala Mobility is currently serving the B2B 3rd party logistics firms as the firm is operational in five big cities of Hyderabad, Vizag, Chennai, Mumbai, and Pune. It also offers services to individuals who want to own an electric vehicle. Both Hala Mobility and RACEnergy say that they have a common objective of making e-mobility more accessible to the people by fostering user-friendly and cost-effective technology.

Hala Mobility is expected to get help from the partnership in expanding its market and client base and also accelerating its EV growth.

The dense battery swapping network of RACEnergy is already established in Hyderabad. Its battery packs are lightweight and interoperable. Its technology amalgamates well with electric two wheelers and electric three wheelers.

Srikanth Reddy, Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Hala Mobility stated, “Our ultimate goal is to empower individuals and communities to embrace sustainable transportation. We can further this mission by collaborating with RACEnergy, a revolutionary company developing the latest battery-swapping technology with advanced cooling techniques and management systems.”

Reddy further added, “These attributes make the battery packs well-suited for India’s hot climate conditions and terrain. With RACEnergy impressive advancements, such as their lightning-fast 4-second swapping time and an extensive network of swap points, users are provided with a better vehicle range.”

Arun Sreyas, Co-Founder & CEO, RACEnergy remarked, “We have already established a strong presence in Telangana’s e-auto market. By joining forces with Hala, we are confident that we will penetrate the electric two-wheeler market and reach an even broader user base.”

Last year, Hala Mobility collaborated with EV charging network provider Statiq, to improve the mobility network for EV users.
