Motovolt Sets Foot into E-Scooter Segment

Leading e-mobility firm, Motovolt, has revealed that it has set foot into the coveted category of e-scooters. The company is geared up to launch an indigenously designed multi-purpose e-scooter at the Auto Expo 2023. The e-scooter offers modularity to enable customizations for the rider. With this move, Motvolt looks to capitalise on the growing e-scooter market, where demand has been on the rise. Presently, Motovolt offers mobility solutions courtesy of the wide range of e-bicycles and the e-bike that was recently launched. As a step forward, the firm has now decided to offer its indigenous expertise in the form of the e-scooters to the masses. The model planned for launch at the Auto Expo, 2023 has multifarious features and is also connected to the Motovolt app.

Speaking on the announcement, Tushar Choudhary, Founder & CEO, Motovolt, said, “We wanted to enter the market with a fully indigenous and smart e-scooter that delivers unmatched rider experience. This e-scooter is designed and engineered to be a multi-utility solution for both personal and fleet use. The scooter is connected to the Motovolt app and offers an optimized, safe and convenient ride experience.”

The upcoming Auto Expo, 2023 is set to be a key event in the Indian automobiles market, and the focus this year is going to be on the EVs. Almost all leading vehicle makers including 2-w, 3-w, and car makers are expected to unveil new EV products. Motovolt’s e-scooter is going to be a part of the launch line up in its category, alongside vehicles from most leading two-wheeler brands.

The lithium-ion batteries used by Motovolt are the only ones in the category that supports fast charging. They can be remotely monitored and advanced predictive maintenance is facilitated by the technology.

Motovolt had earlier introduced a range of e-cycles including HUM – A multi-utility e-cycle, KIVO Standard, KIVO Easy, ICE, URBN.

The Kolkata-based e-mobility company, Motovolt Mobility had announced a few months ago that it had raised INR 160 Mn in pre-series A round.
