Advait Secures 180 MW / 360 MWh Gujarat BESS Contract

Advait Energy Transitions Ltd, formerly Advait Infratech Ltd, has won an EPC order from Gujarat BESS Pvt Ltd to provide EPC services to develop a 180 MW / 360 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project (AC Side). This project will be located at Gujarat BESS Private Limited, Sanand by Gujarat BESS Private Limited.

The company informed its investors about the latest development in a stock exchange filing. Advait Energy further added, “The project will be located at Sanand in Gujarat and is scheduled for mechanical completion by Nov. 30, 2025, with final charging targeted for Dec. 23, 2025. The contract value is ₹74.34 million.”

Expanding Battery Storage Portfolio

Shalin Sheth, Managing Director of Advait, in its Q3 FY25 earnings call, said, “The company is working to build a 100 MW track record in solar EPC and BESS projects, with 30 MW expected to be completed within the month. It is also in discussions for another 200 MW of solar EPC work in the pipeline. The company said it had strategically chosen to focus on BESS opportunities in Gujarat through a low-equity, annuity-based model, securing a 50 MW BESS project with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) on a 12-year annuity basis.

Previous Win in GUVNL BESS Tender

Last year, Advait was awarded 50 MW as part of GUVNL’s 400 MW/800 MWh BESS tender at a tariff of ₹22.60 lakh per MW per month. Other winners included Kintech Synergy (100 MW at ₹1.15 lakh), Bhilwara Energy (100 MW at ₹2.26 lakh), and H.G. Infra Engineering (250 MW at ₹2.26 lakh). The tender marked a new pricing benchmark for BESS in India, with the lowest bid at ₹1.15 lakh per MW per month.
