Tender for 20 MW Solar Plant at Thermal Station Issued in Haryana

HPGCL has issued a tender for setting up of a 20 MW grid-connected solar power plant at the old Ash Dyke in FTPS, Haryana.

The Haryana Power Generation Corporation (HPGCL) has issued a tender, inviting bids from eligible bidders for setting up of a 20 MW grid-connected solar power plant at the old Ash Dyke in Faridabad Thermal Power Station (FTPS), Haryana.

The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the design, engineering, procurement, supply, construction, testing and commissioning of the solar plant. The developers will be complete the work on the project in a period of 190 days from the date of issuance of the letter of award. The bidders will also be required to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the plant for a period of five years from the date of successful commissioning. The O&M period is extendable for another five years.

The last date for bid submission is November 26, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on November 29, 2019. A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for November 8, 2019, to address the concerns raised by all the prospective bidders. All the bidders will be required to submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 2 crore along with their bids.

To be eligible, the bidders should have experience of successfully completing the desired scope of work for the project for commissioning of at least two solar power projects in India of 5 MW capacity or more and which have been successfully commissioned after January 1, 2012. Additionally, the projects must be in operation since the last year. Financially, the bidders should have an average annual turnover in the last three consecutive financial years not less than Rs 10 crore.

In September, the HPGCL issued a tender for the development of solar PV power plants at three sites in the state worth a cumulative capacity of 57 MW. The three sites that have been pre-selected for the projects are the (1) new ash dyke area at FTPS, Faridabad where a 30 MW plant will be developed, (2) area near the ash dyke at DCRTPP, Yamuna Nagar where a 15 MW plant will be developed and lastly (3) at WYC Hydel Yamuna Nagar where a 12 MW plant is to be developed.

With this new tender, the ash dyke at FTPS will house a total of 50 MW solar projects.
