BHEL Tenders for O&M Work on 50 MW Solar Plant in MP

BHEL has tendered for carrying out the O&M work for a 50 MW solar power plant at NTPC Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has issued a tender, seeking bids from eligible companies for carrying out the operation and maintenance (O&M) work for a 50 MW solar power plant at NTPC Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh.

As per the tender, NTPC has established a 250 MW grid-connected solar PV plant on an EPC basis at Gujarkhedi in Mandsaur district in Madhya Pradesh. The Plant is divided into 5 blocks each of 50 MW capacity of which BHEL has developed one block and is now seeking O&M services.

The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the operation and maintenance of the complete plant for a period of 38 months. The vendors will also be required to furnish all labour, materials, supervision, equipment, supplies, transport, to and from the site, fuel, electricity, compressed air, water, transit and storage insurance and all other incidental items and temporary works not shown on specified but reasonably implied or necessary for the proper O&M and handling over the works, except in accordance with the stipulations laid down in the contract documents and additional stipulations as may be provided by the engineer during the course of works.

The last date for bid submission is November 4, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date i.e. November 4, 2019. The interested bidders will also be required to submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 4.42 lakh along with their bids.

In September, we reported that SJVN Limited, a joint venture between the Government of India and the Government of Himachal Pradesh, had issued a tender, inviting applications for eligible bidders for empaneling of experienced and capable parties for Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) and subsequent operation and maintenance (O&M) of solar power plants.

Earlier, Central Electronics Limited (CEL), under the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), had invited Expression of Interests for empanelment from financially and technically capable parties having relevant experience as EPC contractors for carrying out the work related to EPC activities in projects or any work related to solar PV systems awarded to CEL.
