REIL Tenders for BOS Work for Solar Projects at 2 SAIL Buildings

REIL has tendered for the supply of BOS equipment and the installation of solar projects worth 230 kWp at two SAIL warehouses in Bengaluru and Chennai

Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited (REIL) has issued a tender for the supply of BOS (Except SPV modules and inverters) equipment and the installation of solar PV projects worth a combined 230 kWp at two Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) warehouses in Bengaluru, Karnataka, and Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the supply of the BOS equipment along with the design, installation, testing and commissioning of the 120 kWp grid-connected solar PV plant at Bangalore and the 110 kWp plant in Chennai. The developers will also be required to provide warranty and operation & maintenance (O&M) services for the two plants for a period of 5 years from the date of successful commissioning.

The O&M of the solar PV plants would include wear, tear, overhauling, machine breakdown, insurance, and replacement of spares, consumables & other parts for a period of 5 years.

To be eligible for participating in the bidding process, the bidder must have experience in the installation and commissioning with operation and maintenance of a single project of 50 kWp capacity for rooftop grid-connected plants and cumulative 100 kWp projects in last five financial years. Furthermore, the experience of O&M shall be a minimum of 2 years of the respective project.

Financially, the firm should have an average turnover no less than Rs 25 lakh per year during the last three financial years.

As per the tender documents, the bidders who have been notified as successful bidders shall be given four months from the date of issuance of Letter of Allocation (LoA) for the execution of the project. They must complete the design, engineering, manufacture, supply, storage, civil work, erection, testing, and commissioning of each project within those four months.

The last date for bid submission is June 4, 2020, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on June 5, 2020. All tenders must be accompanied by a sum of Rs 65 thousand as Earnest Money Deposit.

Last month, the firm had issued a tender for the rate contract for the supply of multi-crystalline solar cells in Jaipur. The scope of work for the selected bidders included the supply of multi-crystalline solar cells of 4.50 Watt, 4.60 Watt and 4.67 Watt at REIL Jaipur in quantity (in numbers) of 3 lakh, 4 lakh, and 4 lakh respectively.
