BHEL Tenders for O&M of 50 MW Solar Plant in Andhra Pradesh

BHEL has issued a tender for undertaking the O&M tasks for NTPC’s 50 MW solar power plant in Andhra Pradesh on an As-is-Where-is basis.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has issued a tender, inviting bids from eligible firms for undertaking the operation and maintenance (O&M) tasks for NTPC’s 50 MW solar power plant in Kadiri, Andhra Pradesh on an As-is-Where-is basis.

The scope of work includes for the full, final and entire completion of all works as detailed in specifications and drawings, which forms part of this Contract. It also includes cleaning/removing all debris in line with a bill of quantity as directed by Engineer In-charge. The scope under this contract shall also cover the supply of all materials, labour, tools, and plants, etc., unless otherwise specified in the specifications, descriptions of items or in foregoing clauses. The selected bidders will be contracted for a period of 20 months starting February 2020.

The last date for submission of bids is February 12, 2020, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 86.07 lakh and all bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 1.72 lakh along with their bids.

To be eligible for participating under the tender, the bidders should have an average annual financial turnover during the last 3 years ending March 31 of the previous financial year, not less than 30 percent of the NIT value.

Furthermore, the bidders should have experience of having successfully completed similar works i.e. Operation and Maintenance of solar PV power plants during the last 7 years from the date of tender notice. The bidder should have carried out O&M works for a minimum cumulative of 20 MW solar PV power plants in India with each plant having more than 5 MW capacity for a minimum period of one year with at least one plant consisting of switchyard of voltage level 33 kV and above.

Recently, the firm had issued a tender for undertaking the O&M of a 1.7 MW solar power plant in Bina, Madhya Pradesh. The last date for bid submission on that tender is February 10, 2020.

Prior to that, the firm had issued a tender, seeking bids from eligible companies for carrying out the O&M work for a 50 MW solar power plant at NTPC Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh. As per the tender, NTPC has established a 250 MW grid-connected solar PV plant on an EPC basis at Gujarkhedi in Mandsaur district in Madhya Pradesh. The Plant is divided into 5 blocks each of 50 MW capacity of which BHEL has developed one block and is now seeking O&M services.
