REIL Issues NIT for Supply of Multi Crystalline Silicon Solar Cells in Jaipur

Central CPSU Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL) has issued a notice inviting tender (NIT) from interested bidders for rate contract for the supply of multi-crystalline solar cells in Jaipur.

The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the supply of multi-crystalline solar cells of 4.50 Watt, 4.60 Watt and 4.67 Watt at REIL Jaipur in quantity (in numbers) of 3 lakh, 4 lakh and 4 lakh respectively.

The last date and time for bid submission is June 01, 2020, up to 5:00 p.m. and the bids will be opened on June 02, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. The bidders can only submit bids online and physical forms will not be accepted. Also, the period of completion of work is 140 days.

As per the commercial terms of the tender, REIL will deal directly with the manufacturer. Only manufacturers are eligible to quote in the tender 50 percent Qty of the tender of each type of solar cell is reserved for domestic vendors i.e. Indian manufacturers. Also, the vendor must have a minimum of 50 MW p.a. production capacity for crystalline silicon solar cells.

The vendor must have cumulatively supplied 4.0 MW of crystalline silicon solar cells of ≥ 4.50 watts to Indian customers during the period from April 2019 to March 2020. Also, bidder will have to quote fixed prices for the entire contract period on FOR Kanakpura, Jaipur / import price is required on FOB Port basis. Plus or Minus 5 percent tolerance in quantity & corresponding value is allowed.

Besides, the rate contract period will be up to September 30, 2020, however, in case, it is not possible then the vendor may indicate applicable contract period.

In case, if the purchase order is placed and goods are supplied defective then the supplier will be responsible for replacement against defective goods and all expenditure pertaining to replacement will be borne by the supplier.

Recently, REIL has issued another tender inviting bid for setting up of 3.6 MW grid-connected rooftop solar PV project in Mandideep, Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh). The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of the rooftop solar projects. The developers will also be required to provide comprehensive Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services for the plant, for a period of 10 years from the date of successful commissioning.
