BHEL Tenders for BOS Works for 22 MW Floating Solar Plant for NTPC Project in Kerala

State-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has floated tender inviting bids from eligible bidders for the balance of systems (BOS) works for 22 MW floating solar plant for NTPC project in Kerala.

Interested bidders can submit their bids starting from today i.e. May 25, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. onwards, and the last date for submitting bids is June 05, 2020, till 01:00 p.m. Also, the bids will be opened on the same day i.e. June 05, 2020, at 1:30 p.m in Bangalore.

Further, the tender fee is Rs 10.34 crore excluding applicable GST, while the earnest money deposited (EMD) is fixed at Rs 20.34 lakh, and EMD is mandatory for MSME also.

The scope of work includes erection and commissioning works for BOS For 22 MWAC floating solar photovoltaic (PV) grid connected power plant for NTPC at Rajiv Gandhi Combined Cycle Power project Kayamkulam in Kerala.

Moreover, the period of work completion is 150 days.

For the pre-qualification criteria, bidders should have executed works of similar nature of works during the past 10 years as per below, as on the date of opening of technical bid:

  • 1 similar work of value not less than Rs 4 crore (excluding all taxes). Or
  • 2 similar work of value each not less than Rs 2.5 crore (excluding all taxes). Or
  • 3 similar work of value each not less than Rs 1.5 crore (excluding all taxes).

Here ‘Similar works’ means any of the following:

  • Bidder to have any kind of experience in the execution of Land mounted or Rooftop Solar plants for 5 MW or above. Or
  • Bidder should have successfully executed work order for execution of Floating Solar plants for 200kw or above. Or
  • Bidder should have work experience in the field of reservoir/lake/river water activity or any waterworks such as dredging /silt removal/construction /cable or pipe laying works or works in the water reservoirs of thermal plants.

Recently, BHEL) has floated tender inviting bids for type testing of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules as per IEC & IS standards. Interested bidders can submit their bids starting from May 08, 2020, after 02:00 p.m., and the last date for submitting bids is May 30, 2020, till 02:00 p.m. Also, the bids will be opened on the same day i.e. May 30, 2020, at 2:30 p.m.
