NTPC Seeking O&M Service Providers for 15 MW Solar Plant

NTPC is seeking an operation and maintenance service provider for the firm’s 15 MW solar power project in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh.

NTPC Limited has issued a tender, inviting bids from eligible firms for providing comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the firms 15 MW solar power project in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh.

The scope of work for the selected firm will include round the clock deployment of a qualified engineer and a highly skilled technician for each shift for the smooth and safe operation and monitoring of the solar project while ensuring that a minimum of 16 unskilled workers per day for washing all 62,640 solar panels six days a week. The work also involves continuous monitoring of various parameters of the solar project and hourly logging of all-important operational parameters. The successful bidder must ensure the generation and compilation of all types of available reports through SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition).

The last date for bid submission is November 27, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on November 29, 2019. All prospective bidders must also submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 2 lakh along with their bids. The selected firms will be contracted for the O&M work for a period of two years. However, as per the provisions of the tender, the period of the contract can be extended by a period of 3 months at the discretion of the NTPC.

The successful bidder will also have to take the responsibility of the day-to-day maintenance work, including predictive, preventive, and breakdown maintenance of the 132 kV line.

Regarding the technical specifications of this NTPC tender, the successful bidder must use water guns during water washing and use suitable wipers for washing and cleaning of solar panels. The scope of work also involves the tilting of all modules (62,640) to the required angle as per NTPC guidelines.

In October, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) had issued a tender, seeking bids from eligible companies for carrying out the operation and maintenance (O&M) work for a 50 MW solar power plant at NTPC Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh.
