NTPC REL Floats Tender for BOS Package of 1200 MW Wind Projects

The renewable energy arm of India's largest energy conglomerate NTPC, NTPC REL has floated a tender for the BOS package of ISTS-connected wind energy projects of nominal capacity of 1200 MW with greenshoe option of upto 300 MW at Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh.

The last date for receipt of bids comprising both techno-commercial bid and price bid is December 27, 2023. The techno-commercial bid opens on the same day, that is, December 27, 2023.

The scope of work entails detailed design, engineering, micro-siting, manufacturing, supply, erection, testing, commissioning and proving the guaranteed performance parameters for installation of the offered wind farm starting from kV internal evacuation lines. The supply, civil works and installation of Wind Turbine Generators, unit substation and SCADA are not in the scope of work.

However, acquisition of the required land falls under the scope of the work for the chosen bidder as is the comprehensive operation and maintenance for a period of three years of the complete system under Wind BOS package.

As specified by the tender document, the offered wind project by the bidder shall be compatible for installation of any WTG of size ranging from 3 MW to higher WTG machine size as available in market. WTG machine shall be RLMM listed.

NTPC REL has been announcing a series of ambitious tenders in Andhra Pradesh. Earlier, NTPC REL invited online bids for land and power evacuation package for the development of 900 MW ISTS connected solar PV projects in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. It also came with the green shoe option of 300 MW.

Several major wind projects from NTPC REL can also be expected as the firm has issued several  tenders recently including the installation of wind turbine generators for ISTS connected wind energy project with nominal capacity of 1000 MW in Gujarat (up to 370 WTG), 1080 MW wind project in Karnataka, among others.
