Astronergy Supplies 154.4 MW Solar Modules for German PV Plant

Chinese solar panel maker Astronergy has revealed that a total of 154.4MWdc ASTRO N5 TOPCon PV Modules have been delivered to Germany, to materialize Europe’s biggest TOPCon PV plant in Döllen (Brandenburg).

The n-type TOPCon PV Modules from ASTRO N series have gained traction worldwide after the first project with 355MWdc was signed in Australia. Astronergy said that the solar PV plant Döllen is a further step forward to introduce the n-type TOPCon technology to the global market. The technology is powered by ASTRO N5 series of Astronergy.

The Döllen PV plant is being financed by the CEE Group and developed by Antlike Solar. Astronergy said that the solar project will be selling the energy on a PPA-basis . The Döllen PV project is currently one of Germany’s largest open space solar PV parks.

Detlef Schreiber, CEO of the CEE Group said, “The new solar park at the Döllen site impresses with a nominal output of 154.4 MWp and at the same time illustrates the potential of renewable energies as a central component of the energy transition.”

Timo Franz, Head of Project Business Europe, Astronergy, said. “CEE is committed to delivering green energy across Europe. We were delighted to provide them with our new high-efficiency n-type TOPCon PV Modules for the execution of their project as well as their trust into our quality and partnership.”

Astronergy is a CHINT Group firm based out of Hangzhou, China. It manufactures photovoltaic modules having business footprints globally.

Astronergy is involved in some other key solar projects across the world including the Kubuki 310 MW Solar-sand hybrid PV power station, Wenzhou Taihan 550 MW agri-solar project, 103 MW Midden Groningen solar and many more.

Chinese manufacturers are increasingly pushing TOPCOM technology based modules as the next generation of solar PV, with new names emerging in the new wave.
