AAI Extends Deadline for 100 kW Rooftop Plant at Pune Airport

AAI has extended the bid submission deadline for its tender for setting up of a 100 kW flexible solar PV plant on the terminal building of the Pune Airport

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has extended the bid submission deadline for its tender for setting up of a 100 kW grid-connected flexible solar PV power plant on the terminal building of the Pune Airport under the CAPEX model.

According to the agency, the generated solar power will be utilised for captive application and the surplus power will be fed to the grid. The scheme aims to reduce the fossil fuel-based electricity load on main grid and make building self-sustainable from the point of electricity to the extent possible.

The scope of work for the bidder mainly includes site survey, complete design for optimal uses of space, engineering, manufacture, supply, storage, insurance, civil work, erection, testing and commissioning of the solar PV project including all accessories and walk ways on roof, access ladder, including operation and maintenance (O&M) of the project for a period of five years after commissioning. The time allotted for completion of the project and commissioning of the system is 4 months from the date of award of work.

The last date for submission of bids has been extended from October 7, 2019, to October 24, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will now be opened on October 31, 2019.

The estimated cost of the project is Rs 1.23 crore. All bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 2.47 lakh along with their bids. To be eligible, the bidder must submit documents to validate an annual average financial turnover of Rs 3,704,670 against the work executed during the last three financial years.

To be eligible the agency should have experience of having satisfactorily completed at least three works of each Rs 49.39 lakh or two works of each Rs 61.74 lakh or one work of Rs 98.79 lakh in a single contract of similar nature during the last seven years ending on April 30, 2019.

The AAI, which comes under the Ministry of Civil aviation, is seeking to use sustainable solar power to fuel operations at various facilities across the country.
