Ola Electric has announced that the company may launch service a subscription service in the coming week. Ola Electric Chief Executive Officer, Bhavish Aggarwal, made the announcement about the service subscription plans of the company on Twitter. Without offering much information about the plan, Aggarwal asked on the social media platform what kind of benefits customers would like to have.

A subscription model in electric vehicles is not so improbable, for the simple reason that battery costs can account for almost 40-50% of vehicle costs. That can drive many users to seek a subscription offer that allows them to avoid any worries on batteries, and upgrade when necessary.

Bhavish Aggarwal tweeted, “Launching service subscription plans next week. What benefits would you like to see in the plans?”

At present, the Ola Electric customers register their complaints with the company after which their EV is picked up by an Ola Electric technician. The EV is delivered back after servicing. Ola’s original plan was not to set up any physical service centre but the present decision is expected to have been caused by the will to give servicing to customers in a single day.

Recently, the EV maker launched MoveOS 3 to upgrade the e-scooters to the third generation of operating system. It’s making MoveOS 4 now.

Ola Electric is mulling to launch six new electric vehicles in India. Bhavish Aggarwal. Bhavish Aggarwal said that in 2023, the company will go for a mass-market scooter and S1 Air is already in line. In 2024, the EV maker will come out with a premium motorcycle. It will be accompanied with another product – a mass-market motorbike.

Then in 2025, Ola Electric will launch a premium electric four wheeler and thereafter, a premium electric SUV. Ola Electric said that the vehicle should launch in 2024 and in 2025, it may start the deliveries of the same. In 2026, it will launch a new mass-market car.

S1 Air was launched by Ola Electric earlier in 2022. The company will start production and deliveries of the S1 Air in April 2023.

A day before, Bhavish Aggarwal also announced that his company has sold 25,000 electric scooters in the month of December that helped the company to gain 30 per cent market share in the segment in India.
