Hala Mobility, Sieger Technologies Collaborate For 18,000 EV Two-Wheelers In Hyderabad

Hala Mobility, Sieger Technologies Collaborate For 18,000 EV Two-Wheelers In Hyderabad

E-Mobility-as-a-Service (E-MaaS) solutions provider Hala Mobility has partnered with lithium-ion battery producer Sieger Technologies for accelerating the establishment of EV fast charging infrastructure in Hyderabad, Telangana. Under the multi-year agreement, the focus of the two firms lies on rolling out EV fast charge/battery swap stations.

Hala Mobility said that the partnership will be commencing with 2000 fleets in 2024 and ramping up to 18,000 fleets by 2026.

Sieger Technologies’ Gen 2.0 Rapid Charge Batteries, distinguished for their sustainability and cost efficiency, mark a significant leap in the field. This technology boasts exceptional efficiency, power density, and ease of deployment, setting a new benchmark for performance while ensuring optimal total cost of ownership.

As per Hala Mobility, this collaboration adopts a comprehensive approach to sustainable EV charging. By integrating Sieger’s cutting-edge battery tech, Hala Mobility would ensure that its fleet deployments leverage battery swap capabilities, rapid charge/discharge features, and extended cycle life.

Sieger’s innovative battery technology empowers users to charge their vehicles up to 80% in just 40 minutes, effectively alleviating range anxiety and delivering an efficient 2W solution with extended battery longevity for enhanced mileage and range.

Guru Prashanth Madem, MD, Sieger Tech, said on the partnership with Hala Mobility, “This partnership allows us to deploy our Efficient Gen 2.0 Rapid Charge lithium-ion batteries at scale, providing minimal downtime to end-users by enabling a 20% – 80% charge under 40 minutes and thereby contributing to the widespread adoption of fast charging solutions. We are confident that together, we can make a significant impact on the future of electric transportation in India.”

Expansion Spree of Hala Mobility

In the past one year, Hala Mobility has forged multiple collaborations to expand its business in India. In April, 2023, battery swapping technology provider RACEnergy agreed with Hala Mobility for the deployment of battery swapping technology for its 2,000 electric two-wheelers to facilitate smooth run of electric mobility.

Thereafter, battery player Log9 Materials partnered with Hala Mobility under which the renting firm will have access to 1500 electric two-wheelers called BzinessLite InstaCharged. Also, RAMP GLOBAL, a cloud-based ecosystem for automotive aftermarket services, agreed with Hala Mobility for maintenance, management, leasing and tracking of the e-vehicles.

Recently, Hala Mobility emerged as the winner vide championing the mobility tech in Maruti Suzuki’s ‘Incubation Program for Mobility Startups.’
