Log9 Materials, a deep technology and advanced battery technology start-up based in Bengaluru, has announced a long-term strategic partnership with Hala Mobility India, a multimodal EV-logistics services platform headquartered in Hyderabad.

As part of the partnership, Hala Mobility will gain access to 1500 electric two-wheelers called BzinessLite InstaCharged by Log9 Materials. Additionally, Log9 will provide Hala Mobility with access to numerous rapid-charging stations, ensuring convenient and efficient charging options for their end-customers on the go.

These electric 2Ws, supplied by Log9 and utilized by Hala Mobility and its customers, will be deployed initially in a phased manner across Hyderabad, with plans to add up to 300 e-2Ws per month until the end of 2023. The deployment will later expand to other major Indian cities like Mumbai, Pune, Visakhapatnam, Chennai, Vijayawada, and Bengaluru, making a significant impact on India’s growing urban clean transportation landscape. These commercial electric vehicles (CEVs) will cater to various B2B use-cases, including e-commerce logistics, food delivery, and courier services in the Indian last-mile logistics sector.

The surge in online-commerce and quick-commerce in India has led to a substantial demand for efficient last-mile logistics vehicles. However, the increasing volume of last-mile deliveries, mainly powered by gasoline-based ICE vehicles, poses a significant threat to the environment due to tailpipe emissions and carbon footprint. Thus, the partnership between Log9 and Hala Mobility aims to address this environmental concern by adopting zero-emission electric vehicles for the last-mile supply chain, with electric 2Ws leading the EV transition in urban logistics.

By incorporating the BzinessLite 2W InstaCharged by Log9 into their 2W fleet portfolio, Hala Mobility says it can provide customers with a seamless and efficient charging experience, resulting in increased uptime and significant value-addition for their business and logistics operations. Log9 Materials will also play a key role in facilitating charging, repairing, and servicing aspects of these e-bikes.

Speaking on the partnership, Srikanth Reddy, Founder & CEO, Hala Mobility says, “We at Hala Mobility recognize the varied needs of our customers, which necessitates providing both diverse and tailored solutions for EV users. And hence, we decided to embark on a transformative partnership with Log9.

In May 2023, Log9, in collaboration with EV manufacturer Quantum Energy, introduced BzinessLite, India’s fastest charging e-2W cargo vehicle, boasting of charging within 12 minutes owing to Log9’s superior LTO (Lithium-Titanium Oxide) battery-technology integration.  Log9, together with its OEM partner Quantum Energy, previously announced their mission to deploy 10,000 2W InstaCharged EVs across India by March 2024.

Last month, RAMP GLOBAL, a cloud-based ecosystem for automotive aftermarket services  announced its strategic partnership with multi-modal ride-sharing platform Hala Mobility to foray into the maintenance, management, leasing and tracking of electric vehicles.
