West Central Railway Invites Bids for Implementation of 12 MW Solar Rooftop Projects

West Central Railway has issued a tender soliciting bids for the implementation of rooftop/cop, solar PV system at 3 division of West Central Railway. The projects are located at Kota division and have an aggregated capacity of 12 MW through public-private partnership (PPP) on desitransfer (the “DBFOT”) basis. The supply of electricity to railways will be  under long-term fixed rate PPA (that is, for commissioning of projects).

The last date to procure tender documents is 20.03.2023 at 18:00. The date and time of pre-bid meeting is 13.03.2023 at 11:00. The last date and time for receipt of bids is 21.03.2023 at 15:00. The tender opens on 21.03.2023 at 15:30.

The cost of tender documents is Rs 34810.00. The tender-processing fee is Rs 75000 per MW. The EMD/ bid security is Rs 10.68 lakh/MW.

The Indian railways have been on a massive solarization spree. Recently, Howrah Electrical Division of Eastern Railway has issued a tender for the installation of 2.2 MWp on-grid (without battery backup) solar rooftop/ shed-top plant over Howrah division. Previously, IRCON Renewable Power had issued a tender inviting bids to hire a project management consultancy (PMC) for solar power projects of capacity of 500 MW at Pavagada in Karnataka.
