India’s Waaree Opens Franchise in Western African Nation of Guinea Waaree Renewable Reports 158% Jump In PAT In Q3

Waaree Energies, one of India’s largest solar module manufacturers has strengthened its presence in Western African by opening its franchise in Guinea.

Waaree Energies, one of India’s largest solar module manufacturers has recently strengthened its presence in the Western part of the African continent by opening its franchise in Conakry, the capital of Guinea. The firm will also have a new showroom which will be a single point of contact for all requirements in the region.

The firm stated that the “franchise shall prove to be a torchbearer in the solar mission of Guinea. With the introduction of high-quality Waaree solar products, a lot of people will be pulled from darkness to light, a lot of children can study, schools will have electricity, farms will have solar pumps for irrigation, factories and commercial complexes shall have clean power supply. Waaree is committed to doing its bit in helping Guinea energy secured.”

Sunil Rathi, Director Sales and Marketing, Waaree said, “it is our vision to make electricity affordable, clean and accessible to all. With this endeavour we are on the journey to improve our reach and touch the remotest corners of the globe. We have opened more than 350 franchisees across India, and now have started our global ventures, within no time we already have our international franchisee in SAARC nations, and now in the African continent.

“We are confident that quality products from Waaree shall be a game-changer in the Guinea market which is dominated by cheap and low-quality solar products. For quality, performance and reliability of its products are of utmost importance and we shall deliver the best to Guinea.”

The firm has a strong order book, and has already supplied nearly 3.1 GW of solar panels to date globally, and commissioned over 600 MW of solar EPC projects in India.

Speaking at the launch event, Thierno Falilou BALDE, Partner of Thierno and Brothers, said, “we have chosen Waaree as a supplier because we believe in the quality of their equipment, the technical competence of their team and the support services that the company shall provide us to support execution of our projects. Our commitment is to promote this brand throughout Guinea and Africa in order to make it the most used on our continent in the coming years.”

In September, Waaree had received an order to supply solar modules worth more than 300 MW in California USA. The modules will be supplied for a project based in California which is likely to get commissioned in the second or third quarter of 2021. The project will install Waaree’s high efficiency 385, 390 Wp Mono-PERC modules.
