Vivint Solar Brings ‘Solar Leases’ to Florida

The move comes almost immediately after the Commission issued a declaratory statement affirming that Vivint Solar can offer solar leasing plans without crossing the line and being constituted as a utility.

In a recent hand at spreading the solar energy use, Vivint Solar has introduced ‘solar leases’ for Florida’s public aspiring to fetch power requirements from solar energy, following the permission from the Florida Public Service Commission.

The American solar company will begin providing solar leases to homeowners in Florida. Solar leases will now be immediately available to residents in the St. Petersburg and Orlando areas and new customers in other markets across Florida may also have the option to qualify for a solar lease.

The move comes almost immediately after the Commission issued a declaratory statement affirming that Vivint Solar can offer solar leasing plans without crossing the line and being constituted as a utility.

CEO, Vivint Solar, David Bywater said, “We appreciate the commission for clarifying its position and removing any stumbling blocks to the expansion of customer choice for solar power in Florida. Our solar lease product allows many more customers to benefit from clean, renewable energy, and we are excited that our new Sunshine State customers can adopt solar at zero down for the first time.”

Additionally, the leading solar company has brought its residential solar energy systems to Illinois which has led to considerable consumption of the solar panels.

Moreover, the company has also won four 2018 Stevie Awards for customer service. The achievement has provided more opportunities to Vivint Solar for penetrating into the global markets of solar energy.
