Vishakhapatnam Port Authority Issues 10 MW O&M Tender Credence Solar Panels Get BIS Certification Upto 670 MW

The Vishakhapatnam Port Authority has issued a new tender inviting bids for operations and maintenance (O&M) for 10-MW of solar power project. The contract period is for one year.

The tender document reads that the last date for bid submission is February 10, 2023. The bid opening date is February 13. The estimated amount put to tender by the authority is in excess of Rs 65 lakhs.

The bidders need to deposit an earnest money of Rs 1.31 lakhs. The performance bank guarantee has been kept for the successful bidder at 3 per cent of the total contract price. A solvency certificate is required to be furnished from a nationalized bank or scheduled bank for one last year of Rs 10 lakhs. The average turnover of a bidder during the three last year should be 30 per cent of the estimated cost of the project.

As far as the qualification required for bidders in the tender, an entity should have executed three similar projects each costing at least 40 per cent to the estimated cost of work in the last 7 years. It could also show to have executed two similar works of 50 per cent of the estimated cost of work or one work of 80 per cent to the estimated cost of work.

As per the tender document, the bidders must possess experience in executing supply, erection, testing and commissioning of a solar project with a minimum capacity of 1MW or above with grid connectivity. A bidder is also required to have executed an O&M project of 5MW or above of solar project connected to grid.

The successful bidder, the tender says, will have to take care of measuring solar radiation and related climatic conditions that are required to measure the performance of the solar plant. The successful bidder or contractor will also estimate and determine the energy generation at the plant on everyday basis through look-ahead scheduling of power output.
