Tender Issued for Rooftop Solar Plants at 8 Railway Stations

The Alipurduar Division of the NF Railway has issued a tender for the installation of rooftop solar plants at 8 railway stations and a powerhouse

Rooftop Solar Railway Stations

The Alipurduar Division – Electrical of the Northeastern Frontier Railway has issued a tender for the installation of grid-connected rooftop solar power plants worth a combined 151 kW at 8 railway stations and a railway powerhouse.

The stations where the proposed rooftop systems will be developed are the Alipurduar Junction – 60 kW (WB), Kokrajhar Railway Station – 25 kW (Assam), Dhubri Railway Station – 10 kW (Assam), Gularbhoj Station – 10 kW (UK), Golokganj Railway Station – 10 kW (WB), Salakati Railway Station – 10 kW (Assam), Kalchini Railway Station – 10 kW (WB), Dalgaon Railway Station – 10 kW (WB). Another solar system is to be set up at the Alipurduar Junction Power House – 6 kW.

The scope of work for the project will include the supply, fitting, fixing, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar on-grid power plants. The civil works for the installation of Module mounting structure including sand, gravels, cement, etc. and the electrical works for the distribution of loads to the destination will also be in the scope of work. The developers will also be responsible for operation and maintenance of the plants for a period of 5-years under a CAMC.

To be eligible for participating in the bidding process, the bidder must have successfully completed any of the following during the last seven years:

(i)Three similar works costing not less than the amount equal to 30 percent of advertised value of the tender, or

(ii) Two similar works costing not less than the amount equal to 40 percent of advertised value of the tender, or

(iii) One similar work costing not less than the amount equal to 60 percent of the advertised tender value of work

Furthermore, the tenderer must have received contractual payments in the previous three financial years and the current financial year up to the date of opening of tender, at least 150 percent of the advertised value of the tender.

The last date for bid submission is May 27, 2020. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 79.68 lakh and all bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 1.59 lakh along with their bids.
