Tender for 20,000 Solar Streetlights Issued by REIL

REIL has issued a tender for the setting up of off-grid solar led streetlights for special states.

The Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL) has issued a tender for the setting up of stand-alone off-grid solar led streetlights for special states in India.

The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the supply of material, installation, testing and commissioning of the estimated 20,000 streetlights. The bidders will also be required to provide comprehensive operation and maintenance of the light under an Annual Maintenance Contract for a period of 5 years.

The last date for bid submission of e-tenders is July 25, 2019. Bidders will have until July 26, 2019, to submit hard copies of the tender responses, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date. According to the tender, the bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 5 lakh along with their bids.

To be eligible, a bidder should be a manufacturer of SPV module or LED light fixtures or an installer agency. Meanwhile, the financial criteria for bidders are that they should have a turnover of Rs 30 crore in the last three financial years and should also have a positive net worth.

Additionally, to participate, the interested bidders will have to submit a valid test report of the tendered SPV LED streetlight system from any lab that has been accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories  (NABL).

The tender states that at least 10% of the streetlights approved in any state or union territory should be provided with a remote monitoring system. Further, the details of solar streetlight installations are to be provided to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).

Recently, REIL has issued a tender for rate contract for contract manufacturing of crystalline solar PV modules of 75 Wp rating. The scope of work will include the contract manufacturing of crystalline solar photovoltaic modules of 75 Wp rating, to be made from 36 crystalline silicon solar cells. The quantity specified under the tender is 25,000 units.
