REIL Floats Tender for Contract Manufacturing of 25000 Solar Modules

REIL has issued a tender for rate contract for contract manufacturing of solar PV modules of 75 Wp rating.

The Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL) has issued a tender for rate contract for contract manufacturing of crystalline solar PV modules of 75 Wp rating.

As per the Notice Inviting Tenders (NIT), the scope of work will include the contract manufacturing of crystalline solar photovoltaic modules of 75 Wp rating, to be made from 36 crystalline silicon solar cells. The quantity specified under the tender is 25,000 units.

The last date for bid submission is July 18, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on July. 19, 2019. All bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 2.5 lakhs along with their bids. However, the bid processing fees and bid security (EMD) are exempted for MSEs Vendors/Developers registered under NSIC /Udhyog Aadhaar Category.

25% of the tendered quantity is earmarked for MSE suppliers in this tender. Out of the 25% tendered quantity reserved for MSE suppliers, 20% shall be earmarked for procurement from MSE owned by SC/ST entrepreneurs. In case MSE vendor participating in the tender quotes within the price band of L1+15%, they will be allowed to supply the portion of the requirement subject to acceptance of L1 price by MSE vendor. In case of more than one such MSE, the supply shall be shared proportionately.

Also, indigenous manufacturers shall be given preference for promotion of indigenous products to maximum subject to meeting quality standards and specifications.

To be eligible, the vendor should have a minimum of 10 MW per annum PV module in house manufacturing facilities. And, should have manufactured and supplied a cumulative of 5 MW PV mono or multi modules (75 Wp or above during the period from April 2018 to March 2019. Additionally, the vendor should have manufactured and supplied solar PV Module built up using indigenous and/or imported solar cells of power rating of 75 Wp or above which must have been in successful operation for at least 24 months as on date of March 31, 2019.

In April, REIL had issued tender inviting bids from eligible bidders for the deployment of a 1.7 MW solar PV power plant with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
