RUVNL Initiates Proposal to Eliminate Restrictions of Structured RE Projects with ESS
Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam (RUVNL), has invited bids for the establishment of 1.5 GW(AC) ISTS-connected Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Projects with Storage, to be set up anywhere in India. The projects are to have flexibility in scheduling power as required by DISCOMS.
The project must have a mandatory energy storage system (ESS) of a minimum of 1 MW for each contracted capacity of 1 MW. The storage system should deliver at least 4 MWh per day to RUVNL.
The selection will take place through tariff-based competitive bidding for a period of 25 years.
The last date for the submission of bids is February 28, 2023. The bids will open on March 3.
The bid processing fee is Rs. 5 Lakh +18% GST for each project from 50 MW up to 99 MW. For each project for 100 MW and above, it is Rs. 15 Lakh + 18% GST.
The EMD amount is Rs. 12,00,000/- per MW of capacity offered. It is to be submitted in the form of Bank Guarantee with response to RfS.
Within a period of 60 days of the date that RUVNL issues the letter of award, RUVNL will enter into an agreement with the successful bidder to form a PPA. The project must be commissioned within 24 months of the signing date.
Recently, RUVNL had also called for bids for the development of 1 GW of STU connected solar projects in Rajasthan.
