Rewa Ultra Mega Solar (RUMSL) has floated a consultancy tender for preparing a detailed project report (DPR) to develop the Morena wind-solar hybrid project with energy storage in Madhya Pradesh.

RUMSL is a partnership between Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam and the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) to build solar parks throughout the state. This year, December 12 is the deadline for submitting bids. The following day, the bids will be opened.

Bidders must provide a security deposit of Rs 500,000 to participate in the bidding process. The successful bidder shall provide a performance security deposit equal to 10% of the contract value.

From the date of the notice to proceed, the assignment will last a total of 12 months. A renewable energy project with a minimum 100 MW capacity at a single park must be developed by bidders with more than five years of advisory consulting experience. They must have worked on at least three 100 MW solar or wind projects.

Each of these projects must be at a single location and be submitted for bid by the federal government, a state government, a public sector enterprise, or another organization that the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has designated to develop renewable energy projects over the past five years.

Additionally, bidders must have a history of producing at least three DPRs, each at a single location and with a capacity of at least 100 MW, for the MNRE solar park program over the previous five years. Bidders must have experience with at least two active or finished grid-connected energy storage facilities with a minimum capacity of 5 MWh for Indian government agencies, financial institutions, or the private sector to be eligible to participate in the procurement.

The average revenue from consulting services over the previous three fiscal years should not have been less than Rs. 50 crores annually. The bidders must have accrued a profit from their operations in India over the previous three fiscal years.

Recently, Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) released the results of a 750 MW hybrid (wind+solar) project. Sprng Ojas, Tata Power Renewable Energy, ReNew Solar Power, and TEQ Green Power IX (O2 Power) were declared the winners of this 750 MW hybrid power purchase auction for Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL). RUMSL floated this hybrid tender in April 2022.
