NTPC Floats Tender For 3 MW Solar Plant in Bihar

NTPC Ltd. has issued a tender inviting bids from eligible bidders for the deployment of a 3 MW grid-connected solar PV power plant at NTPC-Kahalgaon in Bhagalpur, Bihar.

The brief scope of work for selected bidder(s) will include the Design Engineering, Supply, Construction, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of the solar power plant at the NTPC campus. The developer will further also be responsible for providing comprehensive operation and maintenance of the plant for a period of 3 years from the date of commissioning.

The last date of bid submission is April 22, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date. A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for April 12, 2019, to address the concerns raised by prospective bidders. All bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 20 lakhs along with their bids.

To be eligible, the bidder should have designed, supplied, erected/supervised erection and commissioned/supervised commissioning of Solar Photo Voltaic (SPV) based grid-connected power plant of minimum 2.4 MW capacity. And, the plant must have been in successful operation for at least six months prior to the date of the techno-commercial bid opening.

And, the bidder should have executed in the last ten years an industrial project either as developer or as EPC Contractor in the area of power/ steel/ oil and gas/ petrochemical/ fertiliser and/or any other process industry, of a value of Rs 17.10 crore or more in a single project or work respectively and the same should be in successful operation for at least one year prior to the date of techno-commercial bid opening.

Financially, the average annual turnover of the bidder, should not be less than Rs 17.10 crore during the preceding three financial years.

Recently, NTPC invited bids from eligible bidders for conducting the preliminary and detailed geotechnical investigations for Neemach Solar Park, Sajapur Solar Park and Agar Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh.

The brief scope of work for selected bidder(s) will include conducting field tests like Boreholes, Standard Penetration Test (SPT), the collection of disturbed and undisturbed soil samples (UDS), Trial Pits (TP), the collection of water samples, Electrical Resistivity Test (ERT), etc.
