NTPC Issues Tender for 1500 MW ISTS Connected Solar Projects

India's largest energy conglomerate NTPC has issued a tender and invited bids for the establishment of 1500 MW of ISTS connected (Interstate Transmission System) solar projects across India.

The last day for the submission of bids is October 27, 2023. Bids open on October 27, 2023.

Every project must be at least 50 MW in capacity while the maximum to be quoted by a bidder cannot exceed 750 MW.

As the processing fee, bidders have to pay INR 300,000 including GST for capacity up to 50 MW; INR 499384 + GST for capacities over 50 MW but not exceeding 100 MW, INR 1 million for capacities more than 100 MW but not exceeding 250 MW; INR 2 million + GST for capacities over 250 MW but not exceeding 500 MW, and INR 3 million + GST for capacities over 500 MW. The EMD is INR 1.16 million per MW.

For qualification, bidders must boast a net worth of minimum INR 11.46 million per MW of the listed capacity for the previous fiscal year.

Recently, NTPC issued a tender seeking developers for the establishment of 1500 MW of ISTS wind projects anywhere in India.

As per the bidding trajectory outlined by the MNRE, NTPC has been allocated a capacity worth 10 GW.
