NTPC Invites Bids for Supply of Solar PV Modules for 1.255 GW Khavda Solar Project

NTPC REL Issues Tender for Substation Pkg for 630 MW Solar Park

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), the renewable energy firm of India's largest energy conglomerate, NTPC Limited, has issued a tender for the supply of solar PV modules for the 1.255 GW Khavda Solar Project in Gujarat.

Manufacturers who are interested will be responsible for transporting 1,584.6 MW of crystalline solar PV bifacial modules with at least 540 W power rating under the domestic content requirement (DCR) category.

The solar panels will be deployed in 4 blocks, adjacent to each other in the Rann of Kutch. This will entail 391.5 MW capacity under block 1, and 397.7 MW each for the the remaining blocks 2, 3 and 4. Bidders can bid for either 1, more than 1 or the entire package by depositing the bid security amount specified.

The last date for the submission of bids is October 11, 2023.

The Khavda Solar Project in Rann of Kutch, Gujarat, is the largest single sited solar park in India.

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited recently emerged successful in bidding for a 80 MW floating solar project at Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh.

NTPC Group presently boasts 3.3 GW of operational capacity of renewable energy. The firm also has 20 GW under development, entailing 4 GW energy storage system. It has to its credit India’s first green hydrogen-based piped  natural gas blending project.
