NTPC Green Declares Commercial Operation of 125 MW Solar Capacity in Rajasthan

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has declared the commercial operation of the second section of 125 MW capacity from its Bhadla Solar Project in Rajasthan, according to a regulatory filing dated February 3, 2026.

The declaration has been made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, and was formally communicated to both major stock exchanges.

Project Details

The commercial operation pertains to the second part of the larger 500 MW Bhadla Solar PV Project located in Phalodi. The project is being operated by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited.

With this declaration, 125 MW of solar capacity from the Bhadla project has now been brought under commercial operation.

Installed Capacity Rises

Following the addition of this capacity, the group’s total commercial installed capacity has increased to 8,813.25 MW, reflecting a steady expansion of NTPC Green’s renewable energy portfolio.

The commissioning marks a key milestone in the phased development of the Bhadla project, one of India’s largest solar parks.

NTPC Green Energy Limited continues to scale up its clean energy operations alongside improved financial performance. Earlier this week, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited had also commissioned the first part of its 1.2 GW solar project in Gujarat, further underlining the group’s accelerating pace of renewable capacity additions across multiple states.

In its latest results, the company reported a 25.8 percent year-on-year increase in revenue from operations, which rose to ₹635.29 crore in the quarter ended December 2025, compared with ₹505.08 crore in the corresponding period last year. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, revenue increased 3.8 percent from ₹612.29 crore in the September 2025 quarter.
