NTPC Floats Tender for Supply of Battery Energy Storage System at Khavda RE Park

RUVNL Initiates Proposal to Eliminate Restrictions of Structured RE Projects with ESS

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) has invited online bids from eligible bidders on a Single Stage Two Envelope basis for a battery energy storage system (BESS) for solar PV-based construction power at NTPC Renewables Khavda RE park, Rann of Kutch, Gujarat.

The last date for submitting the bid of this NTPC BOS tender is January 09, 2023, till 03:00 pm and the bid will be opened on the same day at 03:30 pm.

The scope of work of this NTPC BOS tender includes detailed designing, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading storage, installation, testing, and commissioning of a “battery energy storage system for solar PV-based construction power” for standalone application at NTPC REL’s Khavda RE Park. The minimum capacity of Battery storage should be 250KW, 1200 kWh till the end of 3rd year.

Each interested bidder will have to pay Rs. 2,250/- as a cost of the tender document, which is non-refundable. Each interested bidder will have to pay Rs. 5,00,000/- as a bid security. 

The bidder should have supplied batteries for a grid-interactive/off-grid Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) of cumulative installed capacity of minimum 150 kW and 150kWh, out of which at least one Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) should be of minimum 50kW and 50kWh capacity. The reference battery energy storage system of minimum 50kW and 50kWh capacity must have been in successful operation for at least six (6) months before the date of the techno-commercial bid opening. 

The average annual turnover of the bidder, should not be less than Rs. 4.25 crores for any three financial years out of the preceding five financial years as of the date of the techno-commercial bid opening.

The net worth of the bidder as of the last day of the preceding financial year should not be less than 100% of the bidder’s paid-up share capital. 

Net worth in a combined manner shall be calculated as follows: 

Net worth (combined) = (X1+ X2+X3) / (Y1+Y2+Y3) X 100 where X1, X2, X3 are individual Net worth which should not be less than 75% of the respective paid-up share capitals and Y1, Y2, and Y3 are individual paid up share capitals.
