State-owned mining and power generating company, NLC India has issued a tender, inviting bids from eligible firms for providing operation and maintenance (O&M) services for a 10 MW grid-connected solar PV power project in Tamil Nadu for a period of 5 years.

The scope of work for the selected firms will include the O&M of solar PV modules with cable connector and built-in fuses, module supporting structures, array junction boxes, power conditioning units, and all the necessary power equipment. Additionally, under the maintenance service contract, the firms will need to provide regular O&M of the solar PV power project, including the water supply pump and the submission of daily performance data of the projects.

The last date for bid submission is December 28, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date. A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for December 16, 2019, to address the concerns raised by the prospective bidders. According to NLCIL, The project is located at Neyveli in the Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu. The 10 MW grid-connected solar PV power project was designed for an annual power generation of 14.53 million units for a period of 25 years. During the five-year O&M period, the entire project is to be maintained in power generating mode. If there’s a loss in the generation, the cost corresponding to the loss calculated at the rate of Rs 3.04/ kWh will be deducted from the annual operation and maintenance payments.
