NLC India to build 5 MW Floating Solar PV Plant in Andaman and Nicobar Islands

Mining and power firm NLC India will be setting up a 5 MW floating solar PV plant as part of 50MW solar deployment on the Andaman and Nicobar Islands

NLC India Ltd is in the process of setting up Solar PV Power Plants in Andaman & Nicobar Islands to the tune of 50 MW.

Out of this, 5 MW is proposed to be installed as floating Solar Power Project at Kaplong Hydro Electric Project in North Andaman. NLC India is in the process of selecting suitable technologies for implementing this floating Solar Power projects.

NLC also plans to include utility-scale solar-plus-storage deployment in the Andaman and Nicobar islands.

The Mining and power firm has sent invitation for Expression of Interest from companies/firms having experience in the field of installing floating solar power plants or having technology for installing large scale floating platforms.
