NHPC Issues Tender for EPC, O&M of 40 MW Solar Project in Odisha

Highlights :

  • The completion period of the Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for development of the project along with comprehensive O&M is as follows:

    a) For EPC part: 12 months from the date of start as mentioned in the notification of award including commissioning period.
    b) For O&M: Duration of comprehensive operation & maintenance is five years from the date of commissioning of the project.

NHPC Issues Tender for EPC, O&M of 40 MW Solar Project in Odisha Avaada Bags 1 GW in NHPC 3 GW Solar Tender; Jakson, Sprng Energy, Hinduja Among Other Winners

NHPC has issued a tender and invited online bids through domestic competitive bidding in single stage-two part bidding basis (i.e.part-I:QR+technical-bid and part-II: financial bid) with e-reverse auction (e-RA) by NHPC Ltd.for “Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for development of 40 MW capacity solar power project and associated 220 KV transmission line for connectivity at 220 KV OPTCL transmission system through LILO provision along with comprehensive O&M for five years at at Village-Landeihil, Tehsil-Jaganath Prasad, Distt-Ganjam, Odisha.

The online bid submission starts on November 3, 2023. The online bid submission closes on November 10, 2023.

The cost of the tender document is INR 10,000. The bid security is INR 3,00,00,000.

The completion period of the Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for development of the project along with comprehensive O&M is as follows:

a) For EPC part: 12 months from the date of start as mentioned in the notification of award including commissioning period.
b) For O&M: Duration of comprehensive operation & maintenance is five years from the date of commissioning of the project.

Financial Criteria 

Turnover: The average annual turnover in the preceding three years shall be not less than
INR 62.00 Crores.
Net worth: The net worth of the bidder on the closing day of any three financial years out of last five years should be positive.

Recently, NHPC floated a tender for the establishment of 200 MW solar power project in 600 GSECL (Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Ltd) Solar Park at Khavda, Gujarat. This is for stage-1 of the solar park. The tender comes with e-reverse auction.

As per the bidding trajectory released by the MNRE in April, NHPC has been allocated 10 GW capacity of bids, however, it has been relatively slow at issuing tenders.
