Maharashtra Tenders for 3.6 MW Solar Plants at Various Water Treatment Plants

MEDA has issued a tender for 3.6 MW solar PV systems to be installed at various existing water lifting and water plants in Maharashtra under RESCO model.

The Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) has issued a tender for the implementation of cumulative capacity of 3.658 MW grid-connected rooftop/ ground-mounted solar PV systems to be installed at various existing water lifting and water plants in the state under RESCO model.

MEDA is implementing this project for MJP, which aims the generated solar power may be utilised for captive application and the surplus power may be fed to the grid. The scheme aims to reduce fossil fuel based electricity and make buildings self-sustainable from the point of electricity to the extent possible.

The selected bidders will be required to furnish tariff for a period of 25 years with a set limit of Rs 3 per kWh under the Power Purchase Agreement.

To be eligible, the bidders should have designed, supplied, installed & commissioned under RESCO for total cumulative capacity not less than 3000 kWp in which at least one 1500 kWp capacity solar power generation shall be installed, commissioned and working successfully for at least one year prior to the techno-commercial bid opening date.

The Minimum Average Annual Turnover (MAAT) of the bidder in the last three financial years should be equal to or greater than Rs 15 crore on a standalone basis. The net worth should be equal to or greater than Rs 15 crore.

The last date for bid submission is September 12, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the following date i.e. September 13, 2019. The date and time for the opening of the financial bids will be intimated to the technically eligible bidders later.

The estimated cost of the project is Rs 16.46 crore and all bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 10 lakh along with their bids. The selected bidders will have a period of 120 days from the issuance of the Letter of Award to complete the work on the project.
