MEDA Floats Tender For Rooftop Solar with Battery Backup

The Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) has issued a second tender inviting bids for setting up of total 10 kW of grid-connected rooftop solar PV power plant with battery back up under rooftop net metering at five Anganwadi of Buldhana district in the state.

The brief scope of work for selected bidders will include the Design, Fabrication, Supply, Installation, Testing, Commissioning and Operation & Maintenance for a period of 5 years, of total 10 kW capacity (2 KW at each Anganwadi) solar systems on a turnkey contract basis.

The last date of bid submission is March 23, 2019, and the bids will be opened on March 25, 2019.

The estimated cost of the project including 5 years of comprehensive operation and maintenance is Rs 10 lakhs, and all bidders are required to submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 10 thousand along with their bids. Project developers will have to complete the work on the rooftop solar projects in a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of the work order.

To be eligible, the bidder should have installed & commissioned 25 kW capacity (single or cumulative) Grid-connected rooftop net metering systems with battery backup or without battery backup. 

And, must have an annual turnover of minimum Rs 50 lakhs during the last three years.

In February, the energy authority issued an identical tender for the development of 10 kW of grid-connected rooftop solar PV power plant with battery back up under rooftop net metering.

Recently, the Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam (MPUVNL) invited Request for Proposals (RfP) for the selection of bidders for the implementation of 25 MW grid-connected rooftop solar PV systems under RESCO model in the state.

The scope of work for selected bidders will include the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning along with comprehensive Operation & Maintenance (O&M) for 25 operational years of the systems.
